The landscape of Stony Run Winery possesses a rich history.
Stony Run Winery is in, what we like to call, "the sweet spot." To our north, the Finger Lakes produce world class whites.
To the south, Virginia produces memorable reds. Due to our foothill microclimates, we have both the warmer temperatures needed to produce exceptional reds as well as the cooler climates to produce exceptional whites.
Our reds are planted on the estate's southern exposure while our whites are nestled in the hills with cooling northern exposure.

Our grapes are grown on our estate, but the seeds are carefully selected and cloned from the highest quality and best performing vines in France and throughout Europe. ENTAV-INRA® licensed, the grapes are chosen based on phenotypic and agronomic performance along with tasting results. Truly, we are using the best of the best... on the planet!
