Owner Lawrence Shrawder has a deep background in agriculture and wine making.
After living most of his life at the base of the Pinnacle, Shrawder graduated from Kutztown High School in 1979 and became president of the Future Farmers of America, a move that would be life-changing.
Ignacio Martinez Giardini
Ignacio grew up in Mendoza, Argentina and studied viticulture and winemaking at the National University of Cuyo, Mendoza. He graduated with an Agricultural Engineer degree in 2013. Ignacio has worked for Spring Creek Vintners in Marlborough, New Zealand, Domaine de la Baume in Servian, France, and in the US at Beaulieu Vineyards and Stags Leap Winery in Napa, California before coming to Stony Run. He has also worked in Mendoza including Pascual Toso Winery, Escorihuela Gascon Winery, and Rosell Boher Winery, where his father is head winemaker and renowned for his sparkling wine. He has also worked as a consultant to grape growers for wineries in Argentina, scouting grapes and giving advise to vineyard operators to ensure the wineries have top quality grapes.
Garrett Schorran has been interested in agriculture from a young age, starting work on a neighboring dairy farm at age 14. After college he and a friend operated a 60 cow dairy farm until 2015, and has been with Stony Run since 2016.
